★ Behind the scenes

The journey, in pictures.

A growing photo journal — what I'm actually working on outside the writing. Startup launches, angel-investor moments, the rebuild of financial life in Mumbai after 28 years in New York. Updated as it happens.

Two parallel things at once

Most of what you read on NRI Money Matters comes from the financial-rebuild side — figuring out NRO accounts, choosing FX providers, scoring startup deals, navigating GIFT City. The other half of my time goes into building Rippl / ReDesyn — the next big shopper-tainment app — alongside angel-investing in early-stage Indian startups across fintech, content and consumer.

This page is the visual record of that parallel work. The two sides inform each other: building a startup in India teaches you what's broken in NRI banking, and writing about NRI banking surfaces what's underserved in Indian fintech.

Rippl / ReDesyn launch

At the launch of Rippl Effect 1.0 — the team's media summit announcing the next phase of the platform. Building consumer products in India is its own university — every product decision teaches you something a finance article won't.

Behind the curtain

A candid from the same Rippl event. Operating in India after three decades on Wall Street is a different rhythm — slower in some places, blindingly fast in others. The pages on this site try to translate that rhythm for NRIs thinking about coming back.
